Attaching Adjustability to Our Meter Setters

Until recently, adjustability was a word not often used to describe certain water works products. Due to the functionality of these parts and the age of the industry itself, most manufacturers have shied away from enhancing a product whose design hasn’t change much since the beginning of its existence. A.Y. McDonald aims to prove that enhancement is not only a possibility but is also recognized as the more likely choice with our new adjustable height meter setter.

A.Y. McDonald’s height adjustable meter setter is treated as the same product but manages to fit small size meters (5/8”, 5/8” x ¾”, ¾”) while catering to two different adjustable height sizes (9-12” and 18-30”). We believe multiple sizes are necessary for the instances where a worker is in the field and the grade level is higher or lower than they originally anticipated. With this meter setter, they could continue their job without having to go back to the truck or warehouse to get a different size setter, thus saving time and money in the long run.

Adjustable 5/8”, 5/8” x ¾”, ¾” meter setters are available with all standard inlet/outlet valve or meter nut options. Inlet/outlet end connections include ¾” CTS, MNPT, Double Purpose (FNPT/Flare), Flare, and 1” CTS. Please note that not all valve/end connection configurations are available so we strongly encourage you to contact our factory or your local A.Y. McDonald water works distributor with your specific requirements.
