It wasn’t until 2015 that A.Y. McDonald officially committed to digitally connecting with you, starting with an active social media presence. While in our 159th year of business at the time, there was a lot of catching up to do. Fast forward to today and you now have access to multiple digital communication platforms, such as A.Y. McDonald University (AYU) and the new AYMcDonald.com’s customer portal.

While A.Y. McDonald continues to gain more followers, learners, and users, the impact that our 162-year-old company holds on the industries we serve is worth reaching and connecting with many more people than it currently does today. Therefore, by the end of July, we will need your help in getting at least 1,000 followers on any of our social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube channel), along with vastly increasing AYU learners and customer portal users!
Thanks to the Follow. Connect. Learn. Win. sweepstakes, from March 20 to July 31, all customers, current social media followers, and industry peers have the opportunity to participate in drawings for $162, $250, and $1,000 prizes. Below is a breakdown of how each prize is obtained:
- Those that follow us on at least one social media platform will be entered in (4) monthly drawings for a $162 prize as this is our 162nd anniversary
- If/when 750 social media followers are reached on any platform, a $250 prize will be drawn for one lucky winner
- If/when 1,000 social media followers are reached on any platform, a $1,000 prize will be drawn for one lucky winner
- Only if 1,000 social media followers are reached on any platform, we will do a bonus drawing for a $250 prize for any sweepstakes participants that are also signed up on AYU
- Only if 1,000 social media followers are reached on any platform, we will do a bonus drawing for a $250 prize for sweepstakes participants that are A.Y. McDonald customers who have an online portal login and have placed at least a single order on the website

$162 monthly prize winners will be announced via Facebook LIVE on April 19, May 18, June 19, and July 20. Winners will also be announced via Facebook LIVE when 750 followers are reached and when 1,000 followers are reached. In addition, we will send frequent updates through our social media platforms and A.Y. Alerts as to how close you are at achieving the goal.
